First of all, I’m sorry that my blog has been inactive since the summer. I promised to share lots of updates from my new chapter but I couldn’t. For some reason, I have been unable to reliably access my blog since I moved to China. Even with a VPN, it has been very patchy. I’m still trying to figure out how to solve this issue. In case problems continue, make sure you’re connected with me on Twitter and Instagram. I have continued to share on those platforms without any issues.
Today, for whatever reason, my blog seems to be working. I should make the most of it while it lasts and create a post, especially since I have big news to share! Since I last posted on here, I have been named Foreign Principal at Victoria Park Academy (VPA).
In bilingual schools in China, it’s common to have two principals: a Chinese Principal and a Foreign Principal. These two leaders work in partnership. I’m delighted to share that I accepted the role of Foreign Principal back in October. I’m so grateful for this incredible opportunity!
As a brand new school, VPA is still at the beginning of its journey. However, we’re making incredible progress and I’m very proud of it. I still can’t believe that I get to lead the VPA family into our bright future. It is truly the honour of my life!
I’ll keep this post short in case the connection is lost and I lose the opportunity to post it. I have so much more to share about my new life in Shenzhen and the school’s progress so far. Let’s hope that I can get back to posting on here consistently.
Thanks again to everyone who has supported my journey as a teacher, leader and blogger. It really means the world to me.
