BeyondNetZero, the climate-change-focused venture launched last year by growth investor General Atlantic, has raised just over half of the $4 billion it was hoping to secure for its debut fund, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The fund, General Atlantic BnZ Companion Fund LP, has collected $2.039 billion so far, which includes capital committed by the general partner themselves, the filing shows. It aimed to raise $3 billion from investors in addition to $1 billion committed by existing General Atlantic funds, WSJ Pro Private Equity previously reported.
